Accidental Art uses the sin(), cos(), tan() and arctan() functions to generate interesting images.
AA generates an image by the following process:
1: Starting with the top-left pixel, the position of the pixel is passed to a
mathematical function, which returns to us the colour with which to paint the
top-left pixel.
2: this process is repeated for the 2nd pixel from the top, at far-left, then
the 3rd pixel down, then the fourth, and so on.
On some computers, some effects will not be visible unless the "PC Effect" checkbox is ticked. Because of this we have reproduced the images that the applet creates below. The actual applet is available here.
